- Install Own Shop Lite from Appearance, Themes, Add New.
- Install WooCommerce and keep the plugin count low; this theme rewards a lean stack.
- Compress product images before upload, since images dominate store page weight.
- Set colours and the top bar, then choose the simpler of the two layouts.
- Measure the product and checkout pages on a phone with a cache plugin enabled.
