Is Blogson free?
Yes. It is free from WordPress.org under the GPL and can be used commercially. Pro adds fonts, colour settings, sharing icons and author blocks.
Is Blogson too basic?
It is deliberately minimal. If you need a slider, commerce or complex layouts, a sibling theme will fit better. If you need a fast, readable blog, the missing features are the ones you would have disabled anyway.
Does it support two- and three-column layouts?
Yes, both are in the free theme, along with configurable sidebar positions, so archive pages can carry one, two or three columns as you prefer.
Can I add social sharing?
Social sharing icons are Pro features. The free theme focuses on layout and typography. You can also add sharing with a plugin if you prefer not to upgrade.
Does it work with the block editor?
Yes. Blogson is a standard WordPress theme and works with the block editor, so posts can use blocks normally.
